Pepsi is one of the multinational company who runs in Turkey. As we
know all of the multinational companies implement different strategies
in different countries because of demographics, geography etc.
Promotion Strategies are important at that point because of brand
loyalty. Company must create continuously brand awareness by tend to
consumers emotions, these awareness brings brand preference. After
that preferences, brand insistence is made. So, these three point
create brand loyalty.
In Turkey, Ramazan is big chance to create new advertisements. It is
easy to influence consumers by romantic advertisements. Pepsi is
well-known brand of course. Ramazan advertisements are reminder
advertising for it. They send a message that; we are here for you in
Ramazan.
Pepsi sell goods, so they do product related advertising; it has 3
objectives. These objectives are to create brand awareness, to create
and maintain the image of product, and to stimulate customer demand.
Advertising is also promotional approaches that best reasch mass
audiences quickly at a relatively low per-person cost. Effective
messages must be persuasive, motivate the target audience. They do
product asvertising to seel the product.
When we look from advertising appeals we saw that Pepsi use both
emotional appeal and celebrity appeal together. Pepsi sents being
together message in Ramazan advertisements and they prefer use
celebrity; Azra Akın.
They mostly choose TV of channel of connection. At that point, Ramazan
is the chance for media agencies in summer because during summer TV
ads's intensity goes down. So last theree Ramazans TV ads. have
competition. In my opinion, watching TV ratings is high in Ramazan.
On the other hand they also use online channels like Banners.It is
necessary because of mobile technologies.
Pepsi also use consumer promotions. They create create cross
promotions with giving free minutes to Turkcell passengers.
As a result, Pepsi is succesfull in advertising strategies.
